Energy-saving Eco Genuino models in our range:

The CasaFan ceiling fans from the Eco Genuino range are supplied with a remote control (6 speeds, off, summer / winter mode) and a wall bracket for storage of the remote. The hand-held transmitter part of the remote control system has a slim, modern design and has a good grip. It requires 2 batteries, type AAA. The receiver unit of the wireless remote control is hidden underneath the canopy. The transmitter features an LED indicator that tells you if the ceiling fan is on or off. Underneath there are additional LED lights that show the speed level that is currently selected. Use the arrow buttons at the top to increase and decrease rotation speed to your liking. The six speed levels work during standard and reverse mode. The spinning direction is switched from summer to winter with the remote as well. Our tip: Use the lowest fan speed in reverse to recirculate warm air in the winter and erase any cold spots on the floor. This will save you heating costs.

The included wall bracket can be used to store the transmitter. For example, you can choose to hang it next to the door or the light switch. That way you always know where the remote is and can use it upon walking into the room. It is also possible to use one single transmitter to control various Eco Genuino models at once which comes in handy in open plan offices or large living rooms.

Large diameter, minimum consumption

In order to get the best out of all the features of the DC fan (quiet, low consumption, six speeds) you can simply connect it to your mains supply, just like you would with a normal ceiling light. The motor is equipped with an electromagnetic rectifier that turns the alternate current from the mains supply into the direct current needed by the fan unit.

Stylish design

The blades are designed to resemble streamlined airplane propellers and are made from solid wood. Wood is a natural material, meaning its density and composition may vary. In order to prevent any imbalance the blades of the Eco Genuino fans are weighed and arranged by weight. The natural wood models are finished with a clear lacquer, the darker models are finished with a walnut look.

The clear lacquer on the light blades prevents discoloration of the blades and makes it easier to remove dust. The walnut models come with natural wood that is tinted in a darker shade. Since the material is solid wood, all grain, branch markings and peculiarities are one of a kind. That is why fans can look slightly different even though you ordered two of the same model.

Match the colour of the fan blades to the rest of your interior to make sure it goes well with your furniture. In cosy pubs or inns with a familiar atmosphere and cellars a dark brown fan is the better choice. The housing in matt black adds an elegant, contemporary touch. The lighter version with a chrome housing is a great choice for use at home. The brushed chrome finished does not reflect as much light as polished chrome finishes and has a finely textured surface. Think of the interior of the room, consider furniture and equipment. Do you have large black speaker boxes in your living room, or a king-size bed with a metal frame? The Eco Genuino is a versatile appliance that fits virtually any environment.

Installation

The included installation and user manual is structured clearly and makes it easy to follow each step of assembling the single parts. According to CasaFan the minimum distance between the blades and floor is 2.30m to prevent accidents with residents. A distance of 1m should be kept to flammable materials on all sides. If in doubt, get in touch with a licenced professional to assist you with the installation.

The supporting ceiling must be able to securely hold the fan under load (during rotation). Assume about 4 times the actual weight of the fan. It is also possible to add extension rods in case of high ceilings or a supporting mounting bracket if the ceiling is too weak. More information is available in our guide about suspended ceilings.

Safety

The motor of the Eco Genuino fans feature two separate safety functions. On one hand a locking protection stops the motor for 30 seconds as soon as an object (or body part) gets in the way of the blades. If the object continues to stay in place and is not removed, the ceiling fan locks down completely.

The power supply is limited to a maximum permissible threshold to prevent overload.

The fan unit and particularly the bearings of the motor need to run in properly. For that reason the fan should be spinning non-stop for 24 hours so that all parts have time to adjust. Every time you start the fan the motor will stutter forwards and backwards slightly to find its position.

Care and maintenance

The Eco Genuino ceiling fan range can be cleaned with a dry feather duster or soft cloth. Before doing so you should disconnect the device from the mains supply for safety reasons. The fan blades and motor must not be cleaned with a wet cloth, do not use flammable cleaning agents.

It is recommended to check once a year if all screws are still tightened properly. Otherwise go ahead and fasten them again to prevent wobbling and accidents.
