Pepeo Potkuri ceiling fan with reversible blades and pull cord

The versatile Potkuri ceiling fan is available in 30 colour variations. Six housing colours can be matched with five blade sets. All blades are reversible, meaning they have a different colour on the front and back. Tasteful finishes like mahogany, walnut and the classic colours black and white allow for a variety of applications.

A ceiling fan with reversible blades offers two different looks that can be changed at any time. One side of the blades is finished in one colour with wooden grain. On the back, the blades are adorned with a cane décor. Only the black blade set comes without the cane inlay. Instead the blades feature two stripes at the outer end of the blade. You decide yourself which one of the two designs fits your interior better. Take your time when browsing the single models, a wide selection like the Potkuri models needs thorough thought.

A pull cord allows users to choose from three fan speeds. Pulling the cord once activates high speed, pulling twice and three times reduces the speed to medium and low. The fourth pull turns the Potkuri off. The appropriate rotation speed depends on the size of the room and your sensitivity to temperature. With several available settings the Potkuri ensures optimised cooling that suits your personal needs.

The useful ceiling bracket of the Potkuri ceiling fan allows two different types of installation. If your ceilings are rather low, it is recommended to opt for a flush-mounted installation, meaning the fan is put up without the drop rod between motor and ceiling. The minimum distance from the blades to the floor should be 2.30m. In rooms with a normal or arched ceiling the fan can be mounted with the down rod. In any case the ceiling should be have a carrying capability of at least 15.9kg. There are also special suspension kits available for suspended (false) ceilings to ensure stability and safety.

The slide switch on the housing dictates the running direction of the fan. The forward or clockwise running is also known as summer setting. The airflow is pointed downwards directly underneath the fan and provides pleasant cooling. Once the colder seasons of the year come back the winter setting of the fan can be employed. Let the fan run in reverse – counterclockwise – to recover heat. Warm air always rises upwards, cold air stays at the ground. The heat produced in by your radiator or fireplace accumulates right underneath your ceiling where it is basically wasted. The reverse function forces this heat down from the ceiling and recirculates it until an even room temperature is created. Cold spots on the floor are eliminated and you can turn down the radiator.

Recover heat with ceiling fans:

Cold air remains at ground level while warm air rises toward the ceiling

The fan helps to break up the layers of air and recirculate warmth

Maintenance and care

The rotation of the ceiling fan can cause the screws to loosen a bit. Check twice a year if all components are still tightened properly. The motor does not require maintenance or oil, its bearings are permanently lubricated.
Dust and dirt on the Potkuri fan can be removed with a soft brush or cloth. Water, damp or abrasive cleaning cloth must not be used.
